Families pay 30 percent of their adjusted gross income for rent. All families must pay for their own utilities.
However, families are given a utility allowance, which results in a reduction in the monthly rent.
Residents in the Scattered Sites program are required to maintain their own homes in a safe and sanitary condition.
Inspections are made at least annually to guarantee that the tenant is upholding the terms of their lease and to assure
the unit is being properly maintained. Special inspections may be made if there is reason for concern regarding
housekeeping or other problems.
