East View Court - Minden Housing Agency

East View Court is an elderly complex constructed with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds in 1966 to house elderly tenants (62 years of age or older) with limited income. In recent years, new laws and regulations permitted East View Court to house people with disabilities and also "near-elderly" (50 years or older).

Applications for East View Court must be under a certain income limit in order to be eligible to live here. Once a person is accepted to live at East View Court, they will be required to "re-certify" on an annual basis. Recertification means that all income, medical expenses, etc. will be verified once a year. Also a physical inspection of your unit will be done once a year.

At noon, the bus will pick tenants up if they are eating lunches at the Senior Citizen Center in downtown Minden. You must make a reservation for lunch. For those who would like to go to Kearney, the bus makes this trip on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. You must call ahead to notify them you will be taking the bus.
